| Officers |
| |
| Each August we face the challenge of nominating new
club officers for the four positions that keep the club
ticking. Each year, we're fortunate enough to have
a large group of individuals who are interested in the
well-being of the club and its members to choose from.
It's a big job to run a club that has been around for as
many years as we have and somehow we always find the
right people to do it. |

Todd was First Open Water Certified
in 1992 in Sarasota Fl, and continued his training
through to Instructor in 1997 at the NAUI Career
Institute in Marathon Fl. With over 30 years in
Southwest Florida, Todd enjoys the warm clear tropical
diving of the Florida Keys and Caribbean where he
pursues his love of Underwater Photography and Tropical
Fish Identification. A supporter of both DAN and REEF,
Todd has served as Safety Officer for the club for the
past two years and has filled in as Secretary and Vice
President when those members were lucky enough to be out
diving.
"Our goals this year are to make new members feel
welcome, make established members feel appreciated, and
to introduce new and exciting ideas while upholding the
traditions that have made the Caloosa Dive Club such a
success for over 30 years"

JoAnn - Former CDC members, JoAnn
and her hubby Don rejoined the Club in January 2008.
From San Diego, JoAnn's "second career" was
teaching diving in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Grand
Cayman and Maui. She really enjoys the Club
activities, dinners and diving, and working on our
Cardboard Boat! She's looking forward to helping out
and working with Club members, because CDC is Florida's
friendliest family of divers!

Joe
was voted /sentenced to be our secretary for life,
roughly a decade ago and with-in that framework he
continues his quest for the record number of years a
member can occupy /commandeer a given office. Our
sometimes comical scribe attempts to report on the clubs
activities, in his own humorous fashion and vows to
never let the cold hard facts get in the way of a good
laugh, for that matter even the soft warm facts are
treated with suspicion.
Joe has been in the club with his lovely wife Kay for twenty
years and has been seen changing slowly from the typical
know-it-all newcomer to a typical know-it-all old timer
that is forever young at heart. |

Carmela,
and her husband Barry, have been members of the dive
club for the past 3 1/2 years. They previously lived in
Massachusetts and happily moved to sunny Cape Coral 4
years ago. Carmela has been a bubble watcher on many
dives until recently. In August 2006 she received her
Open Water Certification. She has since become an
Advanced Diver and also joined the "camera carrying
gang" on many dives.Carmela has
enjoyed the team work involved in the Cardboard Boat
Race for the past 3 years. She is eagerly looking
forward to her fourth year as treasurer. |
