Saturday December 10, 2011 sixty
six members of the Caloosa Dive Club
celebrated the Christmas Season
together. There was
plenty of delicious food, from
the appetizers to the Turkey and Ham
with Stuffing and all the trimmings
that are always in abundance when
Dive Club Friends and Family gather
to Celebrate Christmas.
Members arrived at 6:00 p.m. to the
Rotino Center that had now been
transformed into a dinning hall
dressed in festive Holiday
Celebration. Our Turkey
carvers, Ron Steedman, Kevin Earle
and Guy Willin were in the Buffet
Room busy preparing for the dinner
guests……… The Buffet table was full
of delicious food fit for a
King………….. The dessert tables were
adorned with sweets galore and even
a table of just Chocolate what could
be more perfect……………….Dinner was
served at 7:00 p.m. to the hungry
crowd………………..good company and
laughter and the sound of Christmas
music filled the air………………….

After Dinner merriment was provided
by all those in attendance as The
Caloosa Dive Club sang a version of
the 12 Days of Christmas with
lyrics by our own Margie Elkins.
Everyone participated with laughter
and singing………On the first Day of
Christmas my true love gave to me
A DIVE TRIP UNDER THE SEA…..On
the second Day of Christmas my true
love gave to me ……TWO EMPTY
DIVE TANKS…..On the third
Day of Christmas my true love gave
to me… THREE BUSTED BC‘S….On
the fourth Day of Christmas my true
love gave to me……FOUR
TWISTED HOSES….On the fifth
Day of Christmas my true love gave
to me…..FIVE “U” RINGS
(That’s half an “O”ring)…On the
sixth day of Christmas my true love
gave to me…..SIX SKIN TIGHT
DIVE SKINS……On the seventh
day of Christmas my true love gave
to me…..SEVEN CLOUDY DIVE
MASKS………..On the eighth day
of Christmas my true love gave to
me…..EIGHT RIPPED UP WET
SUITS……On the ninth day of
Christmas my true love gave to me…..NINE
CLOGGED UP REGULATORS……On
the tenth day of Christmas my true
love gave to me….TEN BROKEN
FIN STRAPS……On the eleventh
day of Christmas my true love gave
to me……ELEVEN TEN POUND
WEIGHT BELTS……..And on the
Twelfth Day of Christmas……I figured
he was trying to tell my
something…..sooooooo I ran off with
the guy in the dive shop………………….. |
 |
Rob your Dive Buddy was next
with one present in particular
making the rounds of nearly every
table in the hall…………..Thank you my
friends for your wise choices in
re-gifting this year………..speaking of
re-gifting………..Walter and Nancy got
back the gift they got two years
ago……………There were some happy people
opening diving masks, tea sets, wine
glasses, and then there was the
Polynesian Fishing Trap…..hmmm
wonder if the spear fishing guys are
interested in that one for next
year. Everyone went away with
something interesting that may
appear once again next year in
different wrapping…………….
