The
Mote
Marine Laboratory is a research
organization dedicated to excellence in marine and environmental
sciences and education. The facility hosts several exhibits
including aquariums showing the life in our local waters. There
are also some touch & feel exhibits where you can caress the silky,
soft skin of some friendly rays or small sea urchins (ouch) and some
no-touch exhibits such as the Shark Tank. The Sea Cinema gives you
a "sharks-eye" view of the underwater world and some insight
into shark behavior.

You have a chance to get up close and personal
with two mammoth
manatee pals who eat $100 worth of romaine lettuce for
lunch every day.We get a
group discount if we have at least 12 people. This is a
fun thing to do on a winter day when it's too cold to go
diving or swimming.

| Signup lists will be available at club meetings for
several weeks prior to the event. |
