A favorite wreck but one that is slowly
disintegrating into the bottom of the Gulf is the
Pegasus. This old tug boat and eventual gambling casino
office was sunk as an artificial reef sometime in 1998.
In a very short time it was covered in fish life and
provided a cozy home to several big Goliath Grouper
(Jewfish).
You have to travel quite a ways to see this wreck
but it is worth the trip
