| Memorial Day on the Gulf Coast is always a big event
for the members of the club who have boats. Most
weekends, when the weather is good, you will find us
anchored in a nice little place called Pelican Bay. From
there we can hitch rides in other boats, walk on the
beach, take a short trip out to the mouth of Charlotte
Harbor or just float in the warm water. |

| Reports from everyone who spent a beautiful
weekend at Cayo Costa mentioned absolutely glass
flat seas and warm water. Visibility was
reported to be 20-30 feet in some areas. |
| There is always lots of activity on this
weekend. You can head over to Cayo Costa to hike
the trails or take the trolley to the beach. Boca
Grande Pass is nearby and many groups will head
out for some diving. If enough people catch fish
(and want to share), there is occasionally a "Fish
Fry" on one of the nights. |
