Caloosa Dive Club -- Scuba Diving in Southwest Florida

The Keys - Key Largo
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.

What can we say about a perfect weekend.  Finally we get the weather report we've been waiting for and as luck would have it we also have a dive boat just waiting for us to show up.

On Saturday afternoon, we dove French Reef and after being trampled by a herd of maniac divers from the Pennekamp Park head boat we wandered over to the Benwood for some peace and quiet. Visibility was very nice for the Benwood and we managed to get through most of the dive before the thundering herd showed up again.

On Sunday, Captain Darrell took us to a spot that isn't visited as often at Carysfort Light. He reminded us that it was our mission to protect this beautiful reef area and leave it as untouched as we found it. Everyone enjoyed some really nice diving and Sandy Canning had the extra thrill of watching 5 Eagle Rays gliding over the reef area where she was filming!

We dove with Island Ventures.  Thanks Captain Darrell and Divemaster Brian for taking care of us.
