Last Chance Lobster Dive (Dive Report provided by the Millers)

Saturday morning 21 club members headed over to Ft Lauderdale for the last chance Lobster Dive. Diving with Southeast Oceanic Services. With 1-3 foot seas we did the plunge into a 70 foot dive, looking for the elusive lobster. Some of the members did some spear fishing coming up with a few hog fish. Others tried to take Photos in 20 foot vis. & a balmy 75 degrees water temp. The next dive was a shallow dive. Still looking for dinner.

Sunday with 18 divers we did another 2 dives, 70 foot & then another 30 foot dive. The vis was a little better at about 30 foot. The members brought aboard about 4 dozen keeper lobster over the two days. Many of us on the other hand were on the catch and release program.

Most of us are looking forward to the next Club dive in Key Largo in April.
