Holiday Diving - Marathon

Memorial Day 2006 as reported by Bob Miller

Diving & dining in Marathon

Early Thursday the troops started to arrive at Jim & Sue McCord's house in Marathon for the Memorial weekend.
Those who joined in were Bob & Ruth Sofranko, Bob & Janet Miller, Brian & Lynann Chouiniere, Barry & Carmella Donegan, Frank & Barbara Panhuise,
Guy & Kitty Willin, Todd Welle & Bianca Ryder, Charles Coleman, Bob Waters, Cheryl Black, Jan Desch, Kevin Kenny and Jim & Sue McCord.

Brian & Todd brought their boats to make more room for divers. Everyone was able to get out & do their dives. Most of us were able to get in about 8 dives over the weekend. The Vis. ranged from 20-40 feet, with a water temp. of about 82 degrees and 1 foot seas. Just great dives.

Some of the guys did their spear fishing thing & got some fish for the up coming fish fry. Some of us did the photo thing -- it's photo contest time. The rest were lookie lou's & a couple of bubble watchers.

After the diving there was plenty of beverage to go round. We had our own personal Chef again this year. Chef Guy Willin once again out did himself keeping us stuffed to the gills at breakfast, lunch & dinner.

After washing the boats on Monday most of us started on the long drive home.

Our thanks go out to Jim & Sue McCord for their hospitality & opening up their home to the club members.
